Grady Neilan was born and raised in Oxnard, California where he grew up photographing the environment of the coastal town he resided in. Early on, his work focused on themes of adolescence, friendship, and hedonism.

Today, he is based in San Francisco. Where he is working closely with new found relationships — documenting surrounding social landscapes and the moments happening in these spaces.
